Innovative training for professionals qualified to take the challenge of a changing society

The EHEA adaptation process involves a deep reorganization of the whole offer of studies at the University of Vigo which in the academic year 2009/2010 will constitute a total of 25 undergraduate programs, more than 60 master programs and nearly 40 PhD programs.

Arising from the adaptation of the current Master Degrees and Bachelor Degrees, the new education studies will be provided in the academic year 2009/2010 at the campus of Ourense, Pontevedra and Vigo. There will be a total of 25 undergraduate programs in the fields of Arts and Humanities, Sciences, Health Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, as well as in the Socio-Legal field. In the following academic year (2010/2011), the new undergraduate programs developed as a transformation of the Master Degrees and Bachelor Degrees in Engineering will be implemented at the University of Vigo. This new studies will complete the new offer for undergraduate studies at the University.

The postgraduate studies offer consists of more than 60 master courses with either researching or professionalizing tracks aimed to the training of professionals who will be able to give a solution to the needs of a changing society. From the offer of master courses, 22 of them belong to the technological field, nine to the scientific field, ten to the humanistic field and 24 to the socio-legal field. All theses programs count on the support of a great number of companies and institutions which promote the employment of students.

The academic offer will be completed in the following academic year with nearly 40 PhD programs which will be set in motion by schools and faculties at the University of Vigo or by other universities the University of Vigo works with.
