Call for Papers

The Research Group in Economics, Business and the Environment (rede) at the University of Vigo (Spain), with the collaboration of Economics for Energy, announces the 4th Atlantic Workshop on Energy and Environmental Economics. The workshop will be held on the island of A Toxa (near Vigo, in Galicia) on the 8-9 of July 2010 and may be appealing to researchers, policy makers and other agents interested in the economic aspects of energy and environmental issues.

This year the guiding research subject of the workshop is Green Tax Reforms. The workshop will include keynote lectures by Gilbert E. Metcalf (Tufts University) and Agnar Sandmo (Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration), with invited papers by Michael Hanemann (UC Berkeley) and Juan P. Montero (PUC Chile).

Theoretical or empirical papers on Energy and Environmental Economics will be considered for presentation in the workshop. Deadline for submission of papers is May 21, 2010. Complete papers should be sent by email (as pdf format) to rede@uvigo.es, including: name, affiliation, email address, abstract of less than 100 words, JEL codes and no more than 5 keywords. Acceptance of papers will be notified by June 7, 2010. After this date, registration will be open (with a fee of 350 Euro), and information on accommodation on the Island of A Toxa will be posted in the workshop's web page.
