 When I finished my degree I considered studying a master to guide my profesional career, so I wondered what to choose. The main reasons why I chose the Master in Management of Sustainable Development of the University of Vigo are the training period in firms, which allowed me to start my professional career in the area in which I really want to work, and its interdisciplinary character: the fact of sharing lectures with people from different countries, different parts of Spain and, mostly, of different education, has enriched me both personally and professionally. Looking backwards, I feel that my election of this master was right, so I sincerely recommend it to all those interested in sustainable development.

 I travelled to Vigo for a research stay at its university but once there I was informed about the possibility of attending the Master on Management of Sustainable Development. I thought about it and decided to do it because I could not refuse the chance to enlarge my personal and professional horizons. Attending this master was a unique life time experience because you study in a very nice university campus, in a multidisciplinary setting, with top professors and a wide academic program, and you also visit institutions and firms and are able to attend interesting seminars. Moreover you have training in a firm for three months, which is quite important as you enter the labor market. Now, in my life, Vigo is a close place and the MMSD is GREAT.

 The MMSD was undoubtedly one of my best lifetime and academic experiences. The possibility of sharing this experience with a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural group of lecturers and students, sharing experiences with people of diverse but complementary education and from very different places of the world, is an opportunity that should not be missed.

 The Master in Management of Sustainable Development has been a turning point in my development as a human being, not only academically and professionally, but also in terms of life experience. Sharing the classroom with a group of people from several backgrounds and nationalities, from the outset, makes the development of the course rewarding as a "pool" of knowledge, experiences and points of view revolve around an axis as fundamental as the topic of sustainable development. And it is even more so when you have the advice of a multidisciplinary team of teachers and specialists on the subject with whom you can even build valuable friendships. Its proposed academic content areas, visits to various government agencies and private seminars with experts and renown personalities in industrial and environmental and labour practices and training in both national and international institutions and companies make this the best master for those who long for the best alternative solutions to real problems and the subsequent interaction of man and the environment.

 The Master in Management of Sustainable Development has given me the chance to expand my education into a sector that has always interested me, and towards which I would like to direct my future career. As for the theoretical load of the Master, it is broad and varied. With the guidance of every teacher, I acquired a broader vision of sustainable development, not only from an academic standpoint but also from professional one. The on-the-job training, allowed me to get in touch with a field that that was totally unrelated to my previous academic training. This was a great experience and it has granted me with great knowledge and tools for my future career.

 An increasingly competitive and demanding industry can respond to the needs of its customers effectively and efficiently. This trend makes it increasingly important to optimize the ratio of industry not only in terms of economic aspects relevant to business but also in terms of all aspects of society and environment. An Engineer takes a key role in this new industrial revolution. This degree gives a broader view of the current situation, new trends and mechanisms developed to deal with it. The training has a balance between academia and industry that allows students to develop each concept in a real context where stakeholder approaches are analyzed within the spirit of the master: sustainable development.

 The MMSD has been a valuable experience for me both professionally and personally. Its large and varied content immerses you in the best of the world of sustainable development and implementation, with specialized lecturers and very good subject matter. With its strong theoretical and practical training, I think I acquired the basic tools and many sources for ongoing consultations to begin to build my career. In addition, the multidisciplinary profiles of those who attended the first edition helped generate intense debate in class that went far beyond the development and incorporation of new concepts. Dealing with people from diverse academic backgrounds day to day helped us broaden our minds and views. At the same time, we formed a very fun group that even dared to get a taste of night-life in Vigo after the exams. For their part, the faculty and management of the master were very flexible with the personal situations of each student. In my case, as a Latin American, I required help to register and obtain a student visa in Spain. The faculty and management helped me every step of the way. In this sense, Vigo, the University and its people have warmly embraced me. It was a really memorable year. I highly recommend this course.

 Deciding on one of the many qualifications of existing expertise is definitely not an easy task. You have to do many things especially if, like me, you are working. You have to juggle schedules and sacrifice free time. I valued the decision of opting for a Masters in Sustainable Development because nowadays, any professional who works in the world of consulting and innovation management should be able to manage projects and incorporate policies and practices in sustainable development. This master gave me the tools and skills I needed to grow professionally whilst it allowed me to better develop my daily work. The effort I put into it has been well worth it.

 The Master in Management of Sustainable Development has given me the opportunity to re-train in particularly difficult times for the labour market. I think the fact that the agendas of all governments around the world prioritize environmental issues facilitates the career development of all those who specialize in this field. Throughout this Masters course I was impressed by the extraordinary quality of its lecturers as well as its ambitious program. All of this has, no doubt, given us students a broad and thorough view on Sustainable Development.
