discovery of America, is the most important episode
in the history of Baiona.
The Old Town of Baiona was awarded Historically and
Artistically Interesting Area in 1993.
Nowadays, Baiona
is town of tourist of excellence,
since
Baiona is one of the most attractive coastal towns
in
Galicia (green community in the north-west of
Spain).

of the new millennium in 2004, in honour of St.

Baiona

connected by motorway from the city of Vigo (15
minutes far). Vigo is well
communicated by means of a
good network of motorways, its airport (Peinador)

connections with Vigo.
