Symposium

The History of ISEF is not so old, but 30 years is also nice age in such modern and rapidly developing science. This history is as follows:

1.

1974 - National Polish Symposium on "Electrodynamics of Transformers and Electrical Machines" in Castle of Uniejow near Lodz, Poland.

2.

1979 - International Symposium on "Electrodynamics - Forces and Losses in Transformers" in Lodz, Poland.

3.

1982 - National Polish Conference on "Electromagnetic Field Theory" with participation of foreign specialists in Jadwisin near Warsaw, Poland.

4.

1982 - National Polish Conference on "Electromagnetic Field Theory" with participation of foreign specialists in Rydzyna near Poznan, Poland.

5.

1985 - International Symposium on "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering - ISEF'85" in Warsaw, Poland.

6.

1987 - International Symposium on "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering - ISEF'87" in Pavia, Italy.

7.

1989 - International Symposium on "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering - ISEF'89" in Lodz, Poland.

8.

1991 - International Symposium on "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering - ISEF'91" in Southampton, UK.

9.

1993 - International Symposium on "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering - ISEF'93" in Warsaw, Poland.

10.

1995 - International Symposium on "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering - ISEF'95" in Thesaloniki, Greece.

11.

1997 - International Symposium on "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering - ISEF'97" in Gdansk, Poland.

12.

1999 - International Symposium on "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering - ISEF'99" in Pavia, Italy.

13.

2001 - International Symposium on "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering - ISEF 2001" in Cracow, Poland,

14.

2003 - International Symposium on "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering - ISEF 2003" in Maribor, Slovenia.

15.

2005 - International Symposium on "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering - ISEF 2005" in Baiona, Vigo, Spain.

During these 30 years ISEF has gained a prominent positions in the electromagnetic community. However, the most important fact is that it gathers a relatively small, but strongly connected and faithful group of outstanding specialists in applied electromagnetism. We believe that it is the best guarantee for further flourishing development of this specific Symposium, whose first objective is the practical application of sophisticated science. The organisers wish all distinguished Participants of ISEF 2005 an interesting and fruitful discussions as well as a pleasant stay in The Royal Village of Baiona, Vigo-Spain.
