ABOUT US
Overview
The GPI research group was born in 1993 with the
aim of studying image processing and analysis techniques. For several
years, we have worked in image processing and artificial vision
solutions with special interest in image recognition.
The GPI developed several projects aimed to convert data from traditional mediums to digital ones using image processing technologies. Projects to digitize Braille books, music scores or road maps were developed by the group.
In 2005, GPI areas of interest where expanded to cover Virtual and Augmented Reality and Multimedia technologies. These areas become very important in the group research lines. These two last areas got big interest due to some important projects currently under development.
