CLAUDIO CAMESELLE is Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Vigo (Spain).
His teaching activities are in the areas of chemical engineering (chemical reactors, catalysis and industrial processes), and environmental engineering (wastewater treatment, environmental pollution control and solid waste management and treatment). He co-coordinates the Master in Industrial Pollution at the University of Vigo.
In recent years, his research activity has focused on the application and development of the electrokinetic remediation technology for the treatment of soils and sludges polluted with heavy metals and organics. He also works in the application of advanced oxidation process for the removal of recalcitrant organics form industrial effluents. His new projects include the combination of electrokinetics and chemical oxidation to improve the remediation of organic contaminants in soils, sediments and sludges. |
