IEEE-RITA (Revista Iberoamericana de Tecnologías del Aprendizaje) (Latin-American Learning Technologies Journal) is a publication of the IEEE Education Society (IEEE EdSoc). It is focused on Iberoamerican community (Latin America and Spain and Portugal), not only on its geographical community but also on the worldwide  Spanish-Portuguese  speaking community.

The current state of IEEE-RITA is that it has been approved by the Administrative Committee of the IEEE Education Society in the meeting of 19 June 2006, like a pilot project of new ways of information and knowledge transmission, and it is pending of the final approval of the IEEE Publication Committee.

IEEE-RITA will be published quarterly (February, May, August and November) in a basis of 1 volume by year, 4 numbers by volume. During its initial phase of launching the frequency will be semestral: two numbers by volume, in May and November. As the number of articles goes increasing, the frequency will be the initial four numbers by year.

Each number will have about 5 papers (10 at most)

IEEE-RITA is a publication launched by the Spanish Chapter of the Education Society of IEEE (CESEI), through its Technical Committee, of Accreditation and Evaluation (CTAE), and supported by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science through complementary action TSI2005-24068-E, Thematic Network of CESEI.
