Coming from Vigo Airport

From Vigo airport there are 9 kilometres (5.6 miles) to downtown Vigo (the closest city to the airport) and 28 kilometres (17.5 miles) to the center of the city of Pontevedra (where the workshop takes place). You can go from the Vigo airport to Pontevedra by bus, train or taxi. However, we do not recommend using the bus nor the train. It requires making a connection in Vigo and it takes too much time (around two hours) for the money that you save.

  • From Vigo airport to Pontevedra by Taxi. Taxis are waiting in front of the arrivals gate. The fare for the ride from the airport to the city of Pontevedra is approximately 30 €.

    If you want to go from Vigo airport to the city of Vigo by bus or train and then go to Pontevedra you have the following options:

  • From Vigo airport to the city of Vigo.

    By bus: Only Monday thru Friday, bus line “Circular A9”. It takes you from the airport to the “Plaza America” in Vigo. Very fast (15 minutes) and inexpensive (1 €) but it does not make stops at the bus nor train stations. If taking the train or bus from Vigo to Pontevedra one has to take a taxi from “Plaza America” to the train or bus station.

    By taxi: fare from the airport to anywhere in the city of Vigo is 18 €.

  • From the city of Vigo to the city of Pontevedra.

    By Bus: from bus station in Vigo to bus station in Pontevedra. Bus line run by the company “Castromil-Monbus”. It takes 30 minutes and the price is 2.30 €. Departure times from the bus station in Vigo are the following: 06:15, 07:30, 07:50, 08:30, 9:15, 9:30, 10:30, 11:00, 11:15, 12:00, 13:15, 13:45, 14:30, 15:15, 15:30, 16:00, 16:30, 17:00, 17:30, 18:00, 18:15, 18:30, 19:30, 20:15, 20:30.

    By train: It takes between 20 to 30 minutes and the price ranges from 3 to 10 € depending on the type of train. Departure times for the trains with departure at the train station in Vigo and arrival at the train station in Pontevedra are the following: 05:50, 07:05, 08:55, 09:18, 11:55, 12:45, 13:50, 14:55, 15:45, 16:55, 17:55, 18:45, 19:55, 20:55, 22:09.

    • Coming from Santiago airport

    Santiago airport is located 10 Kilometers (6 miles) northeast of the city of Santiago and 70 kilometers (43 miles) away from the city of Pontevedra. You can go to Pontevedra by bus, train or taxi.

  • By taxi: around one hour trip and 70 €.

    To go to Pontevedra by train or bus you have to go first to the city of Santiago by bus or taxi.

  • From Santiago airport to the city of Santiago

    By bus: from Santiago airport to the bus station in Santiago. Departure times: 7.15 (except Sundays), 8.30, 9.30 (working days Monday thru Friday), 10.30, 11.00 (working days Monday thru Friday), 11.45 (working days Monday thru Friday), 12.40, 13.30, 14.50 (working days Monday thru Friday), 15.15 (working days Monday thru Friday), 16.00, 17.00 (working days Monday thru Friday), 18.00, 18.40, 19.00, 20.45, 21.00 (except Saturdays), 22.00, 23.30 (except Saturdays). Length is 15 minutos and price 1,65 €.
    There is also a Ryanair special service available for public in general, with priority to Ryanair passengers. Time of departure from airport depends on flight arrival. Frankfurt Flight 13:00 Tue, Thu, Sat London Flight 14:45 daily Rome Flight 20:45 Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun

    By taxi: fare from the airport to anywhere in the city of Santiago is about 15 €.

  • From the city of Santiago to the city of Pontevedra

    By bus: from bus station in Santiago to bus station in Pontevedra. Bus line run by the company “Castromil-Monbus”. Departure times from the bus station in Santiago are the following: 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:10, 15:15, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, 21:10, 22:00. Length 50 minutes, price 5 €.

    By train: departure times for the trains with departure at the train station in Santiago and arrival at the train station in Pontevedra are the following: 6:59, 8:12, 9:22, 11:39, 12:39, 14:39, 15:39, 17:39, 18:40, 20:39. Length 1 hour, price 4.85 €.
